The Strong Tower

The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected. Proverbs 18:10

A fortified tower protects those taking refuge within, and it’s height offers a vantage point from which the approaching of enemies can be detected.

The righteous and wise man or woman runs into ‘The Tower’, which is a picture of Christ.

The Lord loves to protect us, if we would let Him and take refuge in Him, and to pour out His grace upon us and open our eyes to the approach of Satan (Hebrew for ‘enemy’). He is the most dedicated enemy of every human being.

To have all the benefits of our tower; its protection and insight offered by its height, we must place ourselves within. We must place our faith and trust completely in Jesus our Salvation; to be overflowing with His love and grace, and to be in the protection of His embrace.

Jesus says this to His followers:  “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”  John 15:5-6

Prayer:  Lord thank You that Your desire is to protect us and open our eyes to Your salvation. Bring me to the end of myself, help me to be found in You and always keep me in Your powerful protection, in Your high tower. Amen.
