Rivers of Living Water From Within

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:38-39

All believers are, should be, completely dependent on the Holy Spirit. Whatever we do for Christ is through the power of the Holy Spirit. We cannot live as Christians even for a single hour without the Holy Spirit.

As our bodies constantly need water so our souls need the Holy Spirit. To the same extent that more we come to Jesus to drink and be filled, we will be able to be a blessing to others.  If we do not allow the Lords blessings to flow toward others, the blessings in our own lives will cease. Those who are a channel for the blessings of the Lord to others will themselves receive greater blessing.

The world we inhabit can be likened to a spiritual wilderness. Dry and devoid of spiritual life. For life to bloom in the desert water is needed and water must flow through the disciples of Christ, that is through His Church.

Mere drops will not suffice. The world needs rivers of Living Water.
